Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jameson; September 2, 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actor and film producer. Her career began in Mexico which she played in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), which earned her an Ariel Award nomination. With roles in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999) and Dogma (1999), she quickly made herself a household name in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) which she also produced and directed, was the first Mexican actress to be recognized for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6] and additionally earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek appeared in the action-oriented Once Upon a Time in Mexico films in the subsequent years and focused more on producing.
