Lis Wiehl is an American journalist and legal analyst who was formerly the Fox News analyst.
She is an adjunct law professor at New York Law School. In the past she served as an associate professor of University of Washington Law School. She offered legal analysis on Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factual as well as National Public Radio. She was a regular guest on The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Kelly File alongside Megyn Kelly, Lou Dobbs Tonight, The Imus morning show and is the host of her own show, the Legal Lis radio show and the Wiehl of Justice podcast.
Wiehl graduated from West Valley High School, Yakima. She was born in Yakima. She is a graduate of a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College and an MA in Literature (University of Queensland) in addition to an JD at Harvard Law School.
Wiehl was previously the US Attorney. She worked as a correspondent for legal issues to the NPR program All Things Considered. She was the "deputy chief investigatory attorney for Democrats on House Judiciary Committee" during Clinton's re-election. She worked as a professor of law and tenure in the University of Washington School of Law Seattle between 1995 and 2001. From 2001 until 2017, Wiehl worked as an analyst in the field of law for Fox News.
